Speaking

  • Challenging perceptions of what's possible.

I'm Fiona Seabrook, an autistic and ADHD ultra-endurance cyclist and public speaker.

After years of struggling with my mental health and being diagnosed autistic at 35, I discovered endurance cycling and went on to complete a 4,000 km race across Europe, finishing as third woman.

Yet despite these achievements, I still experience challenges with aspects of everyday life that others might take for granted.

Through my talks, I share my experiences of late diagnosis, disability, resilience and self-belief, challenging assumptions about capability and exploring what becomes possible when people have the right understanding, environment and support.

“I would like to say a huge thank you for the amazing and thought provoking assembly, the Year 11 students were captivated and I have had several come and find me to say how inspired they were having heard your story.  The spontaneous applause at the end is testament to how much you had impacted them (as that is not a normal thing!)  Your presentation style was truly engaging and yet humble which many of the students seem to fully embrace.”
